About
Z-Man Comics is a series of short comics about municipal competence as a superpower.
Every story starts with an ordinary New York annoyance, escalates it to comic-book scale, and then resolves it the way it actually got resolved: with a permit, a form, a trash can, a vote. The joke is that the fix is boring and it works.
Is this about a real person?
No. Z-Man is a fictional character and an affectionate homage. He holds no office, has no civilian identity, and speaks for nobody real. The stories borrow the shape of real events, and each one says on its own page what it was built on, but the man in the cape is invented.
How to read it
Anywhere. Every story is self-contained. Nothing is behind anything else and none of it costs money.
