Privacy Policy

Scope of this policy

This policy covers zmancomics.com (the "Site"), operated by Dashible, Inc., a Delaware corporation, trading as Peppi Labs ("we", "us"). It explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It does not cover any other site we operate, or Instagram, which has its own policy.

Information we collect

Your email address, if you give it to us. The only form on this site is the newsletter signup. When you use it we store your email address, the date, which page you signed up from, and your browser's user-agent string. That is the entire record.

Ordinary server logs. Our server records the method and path of each request, for example GET /read/freeze/. It deliberately does not record IP addresses or query strings.

Nothing else. We do not use cookies. We do not run analytics. There are no tracking pixels, no advertising tags and no third-party scripts on any page. Reading the comic requires giving us nothing at all.

How we use your information

We use your email address for one purpose: to email you when a new story is published. We do not use it to profile you, we do not send anything else, and we do not use it to advertise other products.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent or lease your personal information to anyone.

We rely on a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Our hosting provider, which runs the Site and stores the subscriber database.
• An email delivery provider, once the newsletter begins sending. Your address will be shared with them for the sole purpose of delivering it.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

Cookies and analytics

The Site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. This is not a setting you need to change; there is nothing to opt out of.

How long we keep information

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When you unsubscribe we mark the record inactive so we do not accidentally add you again; if you would rather be erased entirely, ask and we will delete the row. Server logs are short-lived and are not archived.

Security

The Site is served over HTTPS, the subscriber database is not publicly reachable, and the page listing subscribers is password protected and excluded from search engines. No website or transmission method is completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

Your rights and choices

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by writing to us. You can also ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and we will do so.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Our lawful basis for holding your email address is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted, and not to be discriminated against for asking. As stated above, we do not sell personal information.

Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us their email address, tell us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects people already on the list, we will say so in an email rather than quietly editing the page.
